In Denmark you are never more than 52 km from the sea. The sea is always within reach no matter where you are. And even though the country is indeed tiny, the coastline sums up to impressive 8.754 km of beaches, tidal flats, rocky shores and sea cliffs battered by the forces of nature and altered by human intervention. By the way 8.754 km is approximately the length of a human chain with every 5,8 million citizens of Denmark holding hands (not allowed at the moment due to corona restrictions). Imagine that! A human chain along the perimeter of the land. Why do I mention that? I have absolutely no idea. But I’m sure that one day my pronounced affiliation for the coastland of Denmark will crystallize into several well-defined projects.
